Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She has been a vocal advocate for animal rights. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). Born and raised in an artistic family living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide recognition as well as an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the globe after just three movies. At Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she was able to have her name and footprints hand-engraved. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married three times.
